Ballet of State opera.
The original dance tragicomedy shows Gypsies´ contemporary way of life and gives a view in two worlds – the world of Gypsies and the world of civilization and the other customs. The Gypsy boy Čoban and white girl Dara fighting for their love. There are quite often problems between those two communities. The Gypsies have good luck in every situation. Once Čoban is killed and his guarding angel gives him his life back. Young lovers continue in dates in spite of the unfavorable destiny until the fate deals a blow. The unusual colour of the performance is enriched by music of the world known Serbian composer Goran Bregovitz. His songs are full of passions and ethnic charge. The authorial piece of the choreographer Dana Dinková was premiered in the State Opera on 15 May 2001.
